The following blessing was delivered to the assembled Beer Tuesday
at Bud's in Roselle, Ill. to mark the occasion of the 2nd Anniversary
of Beer Tuesday.
| Matthew 5: | 5
Blessed are the meek For they shall give you their beer. 6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteous beer For they shall be filled. 7 Blessed are the drinkers For they shall obtain drunkeness. 8 Blessed are the pure in malt and hops For they shall see good Beer. 9 Blessed are the Beer Makers For they shall be called Children of Beer. 13 You are the hops of the earth But if a hop flower loses its flavour How shall the Beer be seasoned? It is then good for nothing But to be thrown out and trampled. 14 Beer is the light of world A Beer that is set on hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do you open a Beer and put it under a basket But on a table and it gives light to all who are in the house. |
| Matthew 6: | 21
For where your Beer is, There your heart will be also. 31 Therefore, do not worry, Saying "What shall we eat?" or "What shall we drink?" 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. Your heavenly host knows that you need all these things. 33 So seek first the kingdom of Beer and Its righteousness And all these things shall be served to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow's hangover For tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is the drowning its own troubles. |
| Luke 21: | 34
But take heed in yourselves lest your hearts not be liberated with carousing and drunkenness. But with the cares of this life. 36 Drink, therefore, and drink always That you may be inebriated enough to escape all these things which will come to pass And to stand before the Beer of Man. |
| Matthew 5: | 16
Let your Beer so shine before men That they may see your good drink And glorify your libations in heaven. Amen. |
